Bertina I. Scheid, age 81, peacefully passed away April 19, 2014 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 17 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Junction City. Rev. Dr. Timothy Roser will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the time of services. Bertina was born May 31, 1932 in Tomah, WI and raised by Frank and Grace Roberts. She was a 1950 graduate of Tomah High School. She married Charles Scheid June 2, 1956 in Dubuque, IA. The Scheids operated a dairy farm in Junction City, WI 1962 to 1984. In that time Bertina also worked for Del Monte foods and Figi's. She was a member of Ladies Aid at St. Paul's Lutheran church. Bertina also enjoyed travelling, her grandchildren, and "a little gambling". Bertina is survived by her sons Frank (Gayle) Scheid of Junction city, Jesse Scheid of Wisconsin Rapids, Doug (Connie) Scheid of Stevens Point, and Dan (Beth) Scheid of Junction City. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Bertina was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and 1 granddaughter. The family would like to thank Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice, St Michael's Hospital, and CCW for their wonderful care while she was ill.
