Bernice M. "Neicee" Kotas, 90, 1907 South Vine Avenue, Marshfield, died on her birthday, Friday, July 1, 2011 at House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the United Church of Christ, Arpin. Burial will take place in Arpin Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the United Church of Christ, Arpin. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Bernice was born on July 1, 1921 in Marshfield, the daughter of James "Jake" and Alma (Schlafke) Krieg and was a 1939 graduate of Auburndale High school. She was united in marriage to Arnold "Arnie" Kotas on August 22, 1942 in Dubuque, Iowa. He died on December 28, 1995. She and her husband farmed in Auburndale for thirty two years from 1943 until their retirement. They continued to reside in Auburndale for seven years and in 1984 they moved to Marshfield where she resided until the present time. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Arpin and the Arpin and Marshfield Senior Citizens Clubs. She was predeceased by her parents and husband.
