Beatrice A. Krause, 84, Stratford, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Three Oaks Health Services.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford with a rosary service at 9:00 am and visitation to follow until the time of service. Rev. Sengole Vethanayagam will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Beatrice was born on September 15, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Pittsville High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen her senior year. She was united in marriage for 65 years to the love of her life, Edward "Bob" Krause on June 6, 1959 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford.
Beatrice worked as the secretary at St. Joseph's Catholic school, cashier and in the bakery department at Davel's grocery store. Taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren was her true passion in life. She loved decorating for holidays with Christmas being her all time favorite. She also loved traveling and camping with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Edward "Bob", daughters, Tammy (Gary) Huettl and Teena (John) Leonhardt Sr, all of Stratford, 4 grandchildren, Melissa (Shawn) Moen, Dr. Macy Huettl (Michael), John (Mandy) Leonhardt Jr., and Jordan Leonhardt, and 5 great grandchildren, Brianna and Brittany Moen, and Margaret, Johnny Jr. and Waylon Leonhardt.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Imelda Wells, stepfather, Walter Wells, 2 very special people in her life, Aunt Betty and Uncle Fred Gunther, and mother and father in law, Mercedes and Robert Krause.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charity – St. Jude Children's Hospital which she was a lifelong supporter, as she was the youngest recipient of a heart valve replacement at Chicago Children's Hospital at the age of 14.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Josh and Julie with Heartland Hospice and all the wonderful staff at Three Oaks.
