Beatrice Iona Gumz, age 90, of Park Falls died on Monday, January 5, 2015 at her home. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 15, 2015 at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford. Pastor Sue Eidahl will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10:00 am until service time at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery at a later date. Beatrice was born on August 12, 1924 in Fenwood, Wisconsin, the daughter of Adam and Flora (Crothers) Haffner. Her early life and schooling were in Fenwood, Wisconsin. In 1946 she married Clarence H. Gumz, Sr. and later moved from Schofield to Park Falls on May 14, 2000. Clarence passed away on December 13, 1989. She loved to draw and sew and spend time with family and friends. She is survived by 4 children, Sharon (Stanley) Kmiecik of Park Falls, Arvin Gumz, Arnold Gumz of Spencer, and Clarence Gumz Jr. of Marshfield. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Laureen, Shelly, and Valerie, 1 great-grandchild, Cassie and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
