Barbara A. Scheibe, 78, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Wells Nature View Assisted Living. She was under the care of Heartland Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 23 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 until service time. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. Lunch will be served following the service. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Barbara was born on March 29, 1943 in Marshfield, to Nicholas and Helen (Gropp) Eckes and was a 1962 graduate of Columbus High School, Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Ronald R. Scheibe on July 25, 1970 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Barb worked at several different dry cleaners in her career but most recently was employed at 5 Corners Laundry and Dry Cleaning until her retirement. She enjoyed seeing the many patrons from the community. Barb also loved her cats, but most importantly, was a devoted grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Barb is survived by her husband Ron and their children, SueAnn Scheibe (Todd Bargender) of Hatley, Connie (Ray) Ackerlund of Plover and Shelly Scheibe of Marshfield. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kaiven Scheibe, Helena Ackerlund and Hayden Ackerlund. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Eckes, and sisters, Georgetta "Skippy" Worley, Luella Wolf, Geraldine "Gerry" Wilder, Arloween "Curly" Verch and Marlene "Molly" Kohlbeck.
