Obituary

Barbara Jean, songstress, hair designer, artist of many creative endeavors, was called home by the Good Lord to be with loved ones that left before her. Raised on the Reiter farm in the town of Seymour where she learned to play the guitar and discovered her love for music. She graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1961 then pursued a career in hair design. In 1977 she moved her small family to Nashville TN to pursue her dreams in the music industry. She settled in Franklin TN where she was a successful hair designer, musician, and creative artist, She will be remembered for her flamboyant style, tenacious audacity, never ending entrepreneurial spirit, and quick witted humor. She is survived by a daughter Kari Nuenke (Franklin, TN), a son Wade Nelson (Eau Claire, WI), sisters, Laurie (Floyd) Ott (Hastings, MN) Connie (Jerry) Milller (Marshfield, WI), a brother Richard Reiter (Marshfield, WI), and a grandson Landon Nuenke (Franklin, TN). She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Reiter, her mother Janet "Jenny" Reiter, a sister Janice Sommerfeldt, and husband and love of her life Laville (Bill) Snider who she is finally reunited with. A Celebration of Life will be held at St Bridget's church hall in the town of Seymour, WI Thursday August 18th from 11:00 am - 4 pm where a prayer service will be held at 11:30 am with lunch to follow.
