Barbara Marie David, 77, Marshfield, died on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in the Emergency Room of Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, the result of cardiac arrest. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the visitation will be on Tuesday from 9:00 am until service time. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Barbara was born on March 3, 1935 in Wisconsin Rapids to Stanley and Olga (Bissig) Stark. She attended Saints Peter and Paul Parochial School and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, both in Wisconsin Rapids. In 1956 she graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, Marshfield. She was employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the American Nurses Association, Wisconsin Nurses Association and the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses. Barbara held ANCC Certification as a Medical-Surgical Nurse from 1990-2005. Barbara and Russell Paul David were married on January 19, 1957 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Wisconsin Rapids. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 20, 2007. Barbara is survived by her husband Russ and their sons, John Paul David (Gabriela Soberanis) of Appleton and Dennis (Theresa) David and their children, Hannah, Arran, and James of Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David (Jane) Stark. Memorials may be designated in Barbara's name to St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association or the Foundation of St. Joseph's Hospital.
