Arthur "Uncle Art" J. Reigel, 96, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids with family by his side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Douglas Robertson will officiate. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield where military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 54 - Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Art was born on March 8, 1929 at home in Wood County to Joesph A. and Beryl (Godard) Reigel. He served in the United State Marine Corps. from 1952-1954. He farmed and was a carpenter throughout his life. Art enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. and Beryl, brothers and sisters, Victor (LaVona) Reigel, Barbara (Phillip) Godard, Harold (Sylvia) Reigel, Marie (Guy) Tessadri, Hubert (Betty and Bea) Reigel, Adelia (Ellworth) Beckmann, Joseph F. (Gloria) Reigel, and Paul (Bettie) Reigel.

Uncle Art was very grateful for all the love and care given to him by great niece and nephew, Amanda and Robbie Godard. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wells Nature View for their excellent care.
