Arthur W. Boucher, 87 of Marshfield died peacefully on Wednesday, March 04, 2015 at the House of The Dove in Marshfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Dorothy Gehrke along with Sacred Heart Funeral Choir will provide the music for the services. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Rozellville.
Visitations will be from 5-8pm Monday at Rembs Funeral Home and again from 9:30 am on Tuesday at the church until time of services. The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard will be present at the funeral home starting at 5:30pm. There will be a combined rosary service by the Knights of Columbus and Parish at 6:30 pm Monday at Rembs Funeral Home.
Art was born on September 7, 1927 in Marshfield to Wilfred and Mary (Boedicker) Boucher. Art graduated from Stratford High School in 1945 then enlisted in the United State Air Force. He served from April 29, 1946 until his honorable discharge on November 7, 1947. In 1951, he graduated from UW Madison with a degree in agriculture science.
He was united in marriage to Elaine S. Schaefer on June 16, 1951 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville.
He worked at Clover Cream Dairy in Marshfield and after receiving his teaching degree, he taught junior high school science in Alma Center.
Art was a member of the Knights of Columbus and its 4th Degree Assembly in Marshfield and a member of the American Legion Post # 175 of Loyal. Art enjoyed camping, playing cards and spending time with his entire family.
Art is survived by his wife Elaine, children, Phyllis (Jim) Warren of Onalaska, Cynthia (Mark) Moser of Wausau, Sheila (Jerome) Hart of Parker, CO, Dennis Boucher of Marshfield, Marvin (Marilyn) Boucher of Chesnee, SC, Jeffrey (Patrice) Boucher of Loveland, OH, Angelique (Calvin Hale) Boucher of Tampa, FL and Maurice (Lucy) Boucher of Bowling Green, KY. He is further survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Edward and 4 sisters, Mary Hamilton, Verna Doherty, Alice Lueschow and Lumena Kaiser.
