Arnold H. Panzer, 92, Marshfield, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Jon Guenther officiating. Burial will take place in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery and his 7 grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 am until service time at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Arnold was born on May 14, 1922 in Hewitt, Wisconsin, the son of Paul and Elizabeth (Weichelt) Panzer. He was united in marriage to Lucille H. Polivka on June 22, 1946 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Day (Rozellville).
Arnie had been employed for the Wood County Highway Department for 42 years until his retirement as construction forman in 1984. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife Lucille and their children, Dawn (Eldore) Messerschmidt, Brian (Jackie) Panzer, and James (Lori) Panzer, all of Marshfield. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kent) Weigel, Tamara (fiancé – Derek Czyscon) Messerschmidt, Janel (John) Swoboda, Robert (fiancé – Emily Bauer) Panzer, Kristine Panzer, Noah Panzer, and Hannah Panzer, and 2 great grandchildren, Brooklynn Swoboda and Logan Weigel. He is further survived by 2 brothers, Harry (Elaine) Panzer and DuWayne (Margaret) Panzer, all of Marshfield.
He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Cheryl and a son Michael and siblings, Elmer Panzer, Marion Leick, Dorothy Berry and Norman Panzer.
Memorials may be designated in his name to Trinity Lutheran Church.
