Obituary

Arnold I. Dieringer, 92, Marshfield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Golden living Center, Three Oaks, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held from 9:30 am on Friday until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Arnold was born on July 22, 1922 in Stetsonville, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Lang) Dieringer. He married Theresa Brandl on September 1, 1943 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore. She died on October 22, 2004. Arnold and his wife farmed in Stetsonville from 1943 until 1954 and then farmed in the Town of Spencer from 1954 until their retirement in 1995. They then moved to Marshfield. Arnold was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and the Holy Name Society, an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799 and served as chairman for the Town of Spencer for several years in the 1970's. He also was a devoted caregiver for his wife before she passed away. He was hard working, had a great sense of humor and was a great story teller. He is survived by his children, Richard (Donna) Dieringer of Genoa, Mary Ann (John) Pohlman of Ladysmith, Jane (Edward) Hoffman of Freeport, IL, Diane (Steven) Rucker of Marshfield, Robert (Brenda) Dieringer of Marshfield, Arnold M. (Jackie) Dieringer of Spencer and Dennis (Connie) Dieringer of Marshfield. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Betty (Milt) Wisler of Wausau and a sister-in-law, Betty Lou Dieringer of Blanco, TX. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a son, Charles Joseph in infancy, a brother Joseph Dieringer and 3 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff's of Touch of Home Assisted Living on 25th Street and Golden Living Center Three Oaks for the compassion and wonderful care that Arnold received.
