Arline H. Stangl, 85, Marshfield, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home. A combined parish and Knights of Columbus rosary service will be held at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Arline was born on August 31, 1928 in Marshfield, the daughter of Anton and Emma (Altmann) Kraemer and was a 1946 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. As a young lady she worked as a secretary at Northern Auto until her marriage. She and Eugene A. "Gene" Stangl were married on July 5, 1952 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Arline assisted her husband Gene in his auction business side job, running a concession stand for 33 years. She enjoyed sewing, walking daily, traveling, especially in their motor home, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She is survived by her husband, Gene, and their children, Debra Frazier of Memphis, TN, Jan (Patrick) Krier of Wautoma, Michael (Mary) Stangl of Lindsey, Kay (Alan) Domaszek of Stevens Point, and Jeffry Stangl of Pittsville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Kim, Jonathan, Eric, Benjamin, Amy, Beth and Krista and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Rita (James) Gassner, Tom (Marilyn) Kraemer, all of Wausau, Rosemary Adler of Altoona and Flora Christner of Marshfield.
