Arlene C. Salzmann, 89, Junction City, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Riverview Lodge in Stevens Point.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Milladore, with a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Father Biju will officiate. A private burial will follow in the parish cemetery at a later date. Martens/Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City is assisting the family.
Arlene was born on May 14, 1936 in Sherry to Elmer and Mary (Spice) Whitney. She graduated from Auburndale High School. She was first united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Salzmann on August 30, 1955 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1974. She later married Herbert Salzmann on April 21, 1981. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1997.
Arlene worked at Hardware Mutual, Marshfield Clinic, and Salzmann Enterprise. She also provided tax preparation and accounting services for 40 years in Junction City.
She ran a craft shop in Junction City from her home. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing, and made thousands of rosaries that she donated overseas.
She is survived by her children, Katherine Kieliszewski, Nancy (Fred) Grochmal, Susan (Matt) Brandl, Linda (Joe) Krzykowski, and Judy Galindo; grandchildren, Lisa Kieliszewski, Rebecca Kieliszewski (Melissa Meyer), Robert (Krystal) Kieliszewski, Karl (Heather) Kieliszewski, Kristen (Randy) Verhaagh, Katie (Paul) Verstegen, Joe (Sarah) Grochmal, Sara (Willy) Vancil, Adam (Sam) Krzykowski, Jackie (Matt) Schara, Amy (Austin) Cavanaugh, and Julie Krzykowski, and many great grandchildren.
She is further survived by her sister, Linda Koplien.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mary, husbands, Robert and Herb, sons in law, Charlie Kieliszewski and Gilbert Galindo, brother, Ed Whitney, sister, Mary Salzmann, and granddaughter Nicole Galindo.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The family would also like to thank the staff of River View Lodge for the compassionate care they provided, as well as Aspirus Hospice for their support and comfort during her final days.
