Arlene M. Brookhart, 85, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A memorial will be held at a later date. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Arlene was born on February 27, 1938 in Arpin to Chris and Barbara (Nimm) Jacobs. She married Edward D. Brookhart on January 21, 1956.

She was a devoted wife and mother and loving grandma. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, shopping and going to the casino. Most of all, she loved her family. Oh yes, and a good glass of wine.

She is survived by her seven children, Debra (Tim) Collins, Eugene (Lisa) Brookhart, John (Kathy) Brookhart, Robert (Shelly) Brookhart, Zelda (Jr.) Curtis, Michael Brookhart, and Kenneth (Sonya) Brookhart. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She is further survived by sisters, Kathleen (Dave) Feit and Irene (Glenn) Bukovec.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, great granddaughter, Jessica, sisters, Pauline Krause, Christine Pongratz, and Marlene Feit, and brothers, Chris Jacobs and Richard Jacobs.
