Anthony V. "Tony" Teresinski, 79, Marshfield, died on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at his home under the care of Ministry Home Hospice with his loving wife and family by his side. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. James Logan officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am on Tuesday at Rembs Funeral Home until service time. Tony was born in Athens, Wisconsin, the son of John and Clara (Lake) Teresinski. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and after his honorable discharge he relocated to Milwaukee. He married Mary L. Oates and they raised six children. He was employed as a steel fabricator/welder at Renner Manufacturing in Butler, Wisconsin, before retiring in 1977 due to the diagnosis of M.S. The couple then moved to Price County to their summer home and then to Marshfield in 1980. He enjoyed hunting in Wyoming and in the north woods, fishing, woodworking, repairing small engines and working on cars. He and Mary had a special place in their hearts for the numerous foster children they welcomed into their home for more than thirty years, especially Jamie and also his "little man Tanner". He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary and their children, Michael Teresinski of Marshfield, Randy (Sarah) Teresinski of Granton, Pam (Gene) Hutter of Marshfield, Cheryl (Bob) Doleschy of Menomonee Falls, Janine (Jim) Charron of Marshfield, and James (Wendy) Teresinski of Two Harbors, Minnesota. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and by Alison (Michael) Fuerst and family. She will always hold a special place in his heart as his "almost daughter". He is further survived by two sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
