Anna M. Hoefner, 98 of Marshfield died on Friday, September 07, 2012 at the Wells Nature View on Adams Avenue in Marshfield under the care of Ministry Home Hospice. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 am Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Eric Berns officiating. Suzanne Golden along with Michael Gonering will provide the music for the services. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will be from 10am Tuesday at Our Lady of Peace Church until time of services. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Anna was born in Marshfield on October 18, 1913 to Frank and Mary (Herbst) Feirer. She attended school in Marshfield and later was married to Lester E. Hoefner on January 5, 1937 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield. Lester passed away on October 25, 1993. Anna was a cook at Columbus High School for many years and drove for the Head Start Program in Wood County. She enjoyed her greenhouse and spent many hours there in the spring and summer time. She is survived by her children Jean Strebe of Marshfield, Elaine (Larry) Johnson of Ashwaubenon, Nancy Strebe of North Prairie, Daniel (Eddie) Hoefner of Hermiston, OR and Sandy Suckow of Lake Bluff, IL; 16 grandchildren 44 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband Lester, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, three sons-in-law, DuWayne Strebe, Allen Strebe and James Suckow, four brothers and two sisters.
