Ann T. Tauschek, 89, Marshfield, died on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and music will be provided by St. Johns Funeral Choir and a nephew, Ken Breu. Burial will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Tauschek, Harold Tauschek, Gary Tauschek, Bob Breu, Joe Selner and Bill Breu and honorary pallbearer will be Ron Kupfer. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Johns Church. St. Johns Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held on Tuesday at 5:30 pm at the funeral home. Ann was born on May 16, 1922 at home in rural Auburndale, the daughter of Joseph C. and Josephine (Bruckert) Breu. She attended Marshfield Schools. She married Raymond P. Tauschek on February 3, 1943 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Ann worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Marshfield, for twenty years, before and after her marriage. She moved to Greenwood in 1961 where she and her husband owned and operated Ray and Anns Tavern. Ray died on April 13, 1983 and she then returned to Marshfield. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church, The Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Marshfield Senior Citizens Club. She also was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society, Marshfield, for more than five years. She is survived by her son, Raymond John "Junior" (Yoko Mori) Tauschek of Waipahu, Hawaii, two grandchildren, Nancy Ann Jenkins of Indianapolis, Indiana and Raymond James Tauschek, "III" of Mililani, Hawaii. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren and a brother, William John Breu of Marshfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Thresilla "Toots" (Joseph) Kupfer and Viola "Vi" (Al) Hagen and a brother, Frank (Elvira "Vera" Bauman) Breu.
