Angi Thiry (née Starren), 53, of Eau Claire, WI (formerly of Proctor, MN and a 1990 graduate of Proctor High School), passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, at the House of the Dove hospice in Marshfield, WI. She was born on June 24, 1972, to Darlene and Rodney Starren.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her daughter, Samantha; grandson, Grayson; her aunts, Barbara and Tammy; and her uncle, Scott. She is survived by her parents; siblings Denise (Jeffrey), Kevin (Merith), and Jarrod (Tori); her children Amber (David) and Alex (Kim); and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Most of all, her granddaughter Autumn was the light of her life, and she bragged about her every chance she got.

Angi loved people and made lifelong friends everywhere she went. She was everyone's biggest cheerleader—whether for a sporting event, artistic performance, new book, career change, or personal milestone. If she couldn't be in the audience, she was watching the livestream or eagerly asking for videos and photos.

Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare providers at Marshfield Medical Center and House of the Dove who cared for Angi and her loved ones in her final days. While every member of her care team offered kindness and compassion, she especially cherished the connections she formed with CNA Ger, RNs Kim and Pam, and Dr. "Peach." Your support will not be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to House of the Dove or to a medical research organization of your choice, in honor of Angi's lifelong generosity and her wish to further medical knowledge.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Peace in Christ Lutheran Church in Hermantown, MN. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM, followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall.
