Alison T. Kain, 61, of Marshfield passed away Wednesday, January 14th, 2026 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

Per her wishes there will be no public service.

Alison was born March 21, 1964 in Williston, North Dakota to Joseph and Carol (Larson) Kain. In 1965 her family moved to Marshfield, WI where she grew up. She attended the public schools, graduating in 1982 from Marshfield Senior High. Following high school Alison attended the UW extensions in Marshfield and Stevens Point before Moving to Madison to pursue an education in Graphic Design from Madison Area Tech. In 1990 she followed her brother to the twin cities where she found work as a data analyst for the First Bank of Minnesota. As her health declined, she moved back to Marshfield to be close to her parents.

Alison was a kind and gentle soul and a known lover of cats. Her welcoming spirit and lovable sense of humor will be missed.

Alison is survived by her mother Carol of Marshfield, and her brothers Michael (Carol) of Puyallup, Washington, Geoffrey (Lisa) of Northfield, Minnesota, and John (Angela) of Woodbury, Minnesota. She is further survived by nieces and nephews: Tyler (Anya) of Seattle, Washington; Julian (Nichole) of St. Paul, Minnesota; Morgan (Jo) of Washington DC; Delia (Justin Plank) of Faribault, Minnesota; Rachel (Sarthak) of Iowa City, Iowa; Corinne of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, McKenzie of Maplewood, Minnesota, and Elizabeth (Jordan Gollmer) of Mankato, Minnesota.

She is preceded in death by her father, her grandparents and her nephew Riley.
