Alice B. Petri, 84, Auburndale, died on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Country Terrace Assisted Living, Stratford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley, Marathon County, with Rev. Darryl Kenagy officiating. Burial will take place in St. Paul's Lutheran Church cemetery in the Town of Day, Marathon County. The visitation will be held from 9:30 am until service time at Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Alice was born on February 7, 1931 in the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County, to Fred and Therisa (Jung) Hoefs. She married Lester A. Petri on September 3, 1949 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Day. He died on May 12, 1994. Alice had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and her flowers. She could make anything grow and flourish. She loved her cats and the many different animals on her hobby farm. She also enjoyed many crafts. She is survived by 3 sons, Joe (Koreen) Petri of Stratford, Ricky (Tammie) Petri of Spencer and Bill (Darlene) Petri of Auburndale. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 5 sisters, Marion Carolfi, Dolores Faulks, Geraldine (Ken) Erikson, Janice Woods and Gladys (Philip) Offer. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, her oldest son, Jerry, and sisters, Alverna Poeshel, Violet Carolfi, Mabel Karl, Lorraine Stanton, and Elizabeth Brockman.
