Alice R. Liebe, 83, Junction City, died peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday September 12, 2013 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City, with Rev. John Ofori-Domah officiating. Burial will take place in the parish Cemetery. The visitation will be held from 9:45 am on Thursday until service time at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City. Martens / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Alice was born on October 20, 1929 in the Town of Eau Pleine, Portage County, to Ernest and Laura (Pendlewski) Smrz. She attended White Lily School in the Town of Eau Pleine and P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point. She was united in marriage to Daniel A. Liebe on June 14, 1947 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Junction City. He died on February 23, 2005. The Liebes were lifelong dairy farmers in Junction City. Alice also was employed as a nurse's aide at St. Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and animals. She is survived by a son, Edward (Debra) Liebe, a daughter, Joyce (Chester) Plaski, and grandchildren, Wayne (Kelly) Plaski, and Jennifer (Steve) Kurzinski, all of Junction City. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Nick and Noah Plaski and Kassandra and Emily Kurzinski. She is further survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Eugene (Jeanette) Smrz of Plover, Audrey (Wesley) Spreda of Stevens Point, Carol Schwobe of Oshkosh, and James (Mary Ann) Smrz of Stevens Point and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters, Elizabeth Bahr, Marjorie Singer and Sylvia Berndt. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
