Meet Our Staff
John
F. Person
An Antigo
native, John has been a licensed funeral director since 1976.
While attending mortuary school in Milwaukee, he was employed
at a large funeral home. In 1976, he began employment at a funeral
home in Green Bay until 1978 when he and his family moved to
Marshfield where he began employment at Rembs / Kundinger Funeral
Home. In 1998, a partnership was formed and currently John and
Greg Jackan operate funeral homes in Marshfield, Stratford and
Junction City with the help of a dedicated staff. John and his
wife Shirley, who also assists at the funeral home have been
married since 1972, have 2 married daughters and 3 grandchildren.
John enjoys sport clay shooting, hunting out West, in Alaska
and Canada and has been involved in offices in the local chapter
of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Greg
Jackan
A native of Wisconsin Rapids, Greg has been a licensed funeral director since 1983 when he came to Marshfield and began employment at Rembs / Kundinger Funeral Home. In 1998 a partnership was formed in the business and currently Greg and John Person operate funeral homes in Marshfield, Stratford, and Junction City with the help of a capable, caring staff. Greg and his wife Tami, who also assists at the funeral home, have been married since 1983 and have four children and two grandchildren. A fitness enthusiast, he enjoys, running, walking, weight training, participating in triathlons and is involved in community theater.
Shirley
A. Person
Shirley, was born and
raised in Antigo and came to Marshfield in 1978 with her husband,
John and their 2 daughters. She became a licensed real estate
broker and worked in the real estate industry for 14 years serving
Marshfield and the surrounding area. In 1998, she began working
at the funeral home. She volunteers her time downtown planting
flowers and baking. Her passions are horses, gardening, nature
and cooking for family gatherings.
Tami
Jackan
Tami, a native of Wisconsin Rapids, came to Marshfield in 1983. She is a graduate of Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and began teaching Christian Day School in Marshfield and later became a substitute teacher for Marshfield area schools. In 1998 she began assisting at the funeral home. She and her husband, Greg, have four children and two grandchildren. Tami volunteers in various local and national civic, church and school organizations. She enjoys sewing and quilting.
Jim
Kaudy
Formerly of Medford,
Wisconsin, Jim graduated from Medford Senior High School in
1978. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and
Milwaukee Area Technical College where he graduated with an
Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. Jim received his Funeral
Director license in 1983 and worked in Madison, Wisconsin as
a director for 23 years until September of 2006. He joined the
staff at Remb's in June of 2007 and is proud to be a member
of the Marshfield community. He enjoys playing golf, bike riding,
hunting and Wisconsin Badger football.
Adam
Graveen
Adam, a Wausau native, is a 2005 graduate of Wausau West High School and a 2009 graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College, earning an Associate of Science Degree in Funeral Service. In May of 2009 Adam moved to Marshfield to Join the Staff at Rembs Funeral Home where he received his Funeral Directing license later in that year. In his free time Adam is an avid musician playing clarinet in both the Marshfield Civic Band and the UW Marshfield / Wood County Symphonic Band. Adam also enjoys camping throughout Wisconsin and traveling on his Harley Motorcycle.
Mike Gonering
Mike Gonering has lived in Marshfield his entire life. He worked for the Marshfield Clinic for 32 years. Mike joined Remb’s staff in March of 2008. Mike and his wife Elaine have two daughters. Mike is an active member of Our Lady of Peace parish. He is a Past Grand Knight and Former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus. Mike’s interests include family, hunting, and fishing.
Jerry
Kraus
Jerry has been employed
at Rembs Funeral Home for 7 years. Since 1959, Jerry and his
wife Jean, have been residents of the City of Marshfield. They
have 3 children, Michael, Patrick, and Sara Jean. They have
6 grandchildren. He is a retired salesman from Felker Bros.
Corp. Jerry and Jean are active members of St. John Catholic
Church. Jerry is also a past Grand Knight of the Knights of
Columbus.
Bruce
Jensema
Bruce was born in Wausau.
He currently teaches fourth grade at Madison School. He is the
Music Director and organist at Christ Lutheran Church where
he and his wife are members. Bruce and his wife Sharon have
two grown daughters and one grandson. His interest includes
reading, gardening, walking and traveling.
Don Anderson
Don is a native of Marshfield. He graduated from Columbus High School. He and his wife Jane have three children, Greg, Kris and Kara, 10 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Don is member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Marshfield Elks Lodge and the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield.
Don retired from American Family Insurance Company after 41 years. He enjoyed boating, gardening hunting and volunteering. He joined Rembs Funeral Home staff in 2007.
