Just a few weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised by an upbeat phone call from Mike. He was my friend in Sister Melfrieda's 1st Grade Band and continued to be a friend from then on. It's good to know he'll be there with that Irish smile when we again meet some day. God bless all of you who miss him so much right now . . .

Joan and Family,

Mike's obituary states that "he was a good man to have in your corner. If you needed help he was the first one on your list." That was certainly true for us. Many years ago we were stranded in Green Bay with 4 young children at midnight because our flight to CWA was canceled due to ice. It was Christmas time. We called Mike and he never even hesitated. "Stay put and I will be there". AND HE WAS! Gestures of friendship like that are never forgotten. He was a good man and he will be missed. Our thoughts are with all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

I just heard from my parents of Mike's death and wanted to express my sympathy. Mike will remain vivid in my mind given all the time I spent at your house as young adult. Please know that I am thinking about you and that we are here should you wish to re-connect.
