Ironically, he began serving his apprenticeship at the very same funeral home his father Greg did more than twenty-five years earlier - the widely respected and family owned Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home. In addition, Ted and Greg were taught by the very same professor at Milwaukee Area Technical College before graduating in 2010 with an associate’s degree in Mortuary Science.

In 2011, Ted took the position of Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer in Stevens Point for the family owned Shuda Funeral Service for over five years. During those years, he proved time and time again his dedication to families and passion for providing respectful funeral services.  In 2015, he received his certification as a Licensed Crematory Operator from the National Funeral Director’s Association.

Ted is not coming to Rembs alone. While at Shuda’s, he met and married the woman of his dreams - the lovely and energetic Andrea Jackan. They have three wonderful children. Ted and Andrea are very blessed to come to Marshfield and to have the opportunity to serve the communities that Rembs provides.
